Event Overview
Join us for a two-in-one community event that brings together inclusive athletics and disability resources in one accessible, engaging experience. The Adapted Sports Showcase & Disability Resource Expo is a free, open-to-the-public event designed to introduce attendees to adapted sports while connecting them with organizations and resources within the disability community.
Hosted on the San Diego State University campus, the event brings together adapted sport programs, community organizations, service providers, and advocates to create a space centered on access, education, empowerment, and community connection.
The event is designed to serve a broad audience, including individuals with physical disabilities, families, students, veterans, caregivers, and community members interested in learning more about adapted sports and disability-related resources. Whether you are new to adapted athletics or already involved in the disability space, the event offers opportunities to learn, connect, and engage.
Disability Resource Expo (2:00–5:00 PM)
The Disability Resource Expo highlights leading local and regional organizations that support individuals with disabilities through services, advocacy, health and wellness resources, equipment, and community programming. Attendees will have the opportunity to connect directly with organizations shaping the disability space and learn more about the resources available to support independent living, recreation, and overall quality of life.
Adapted Sports Showcase (3:00–5:00 PM)
The Adapted Sports Showcase is a celebration of adapted sports and inclusive athletics. The showcase will feature adapted sports demonstrations and exhibitions, Paralympic and adapted sport discussion panels, and opportunities to learn about pathways to join the adapted sports movement. Attendees will gain insight into how adapted sports create an environment of physical health, confidence, and community connection.
